Mirrored Closet Makeover
If you follow my Instagram stories you may have seen that I’ve been renovating my office space for weeks now. My ultimate goal I’ll leave to tell another time but I will say that renting creates its challenges and forces you to get crafty. One project in particular was covering my very bleh mirrored closet and to try and turn it into something that matched the rest of the decor. The solution to that problem was curtains (and string lights)!
I knew I wanted something soft and neutral so I found a sheer ivory curtain and a black curtain rod.
After everything was set up I was happy with it…for ten minutes. After looking at it, it was indeed the look I was going for but it was just too sheer and that bleh closet was still peeking through. So I went searching for a semi sheer curtain to double up behind the original ivory one as well as clips to hold both curtains easily. I also already had string lights in mind to add a bit more oomph, and luckily enough the clips were able to hold both curtains and the string lights.
The end result was exactly what I wanted, a mirrored closet that went from bleh to a now soft and twinkly backdrop. I should also mention I went with battery powered string lights for a less fussy option, I absolutely hate cable management, so the less cords sticking out trying to find an outlet, the better!
